Integration AX to Oracle (AX 2012)

Hi all,

I'm new to AX, i have experience with DMF/DIXF before but never with AIF. We are integrating / migrating AX to Oracle. For now we wanna migrate GL from AX to Oracle using batch. There's still so many interface needed to connect to AX in the upcoming future. I'm thinking i might need to use AIF or DIXF/DMF then batch grouped it. The Oracle system will be just accepting GL coming from AX (Batch group to Oracle's staging table). Please help me find some better option/ solution.  Because i'm new to this, so i need ideas about the solution with each pros and cons.

Thanks.

    DMF/DIXF is the best solution.

AIF is discontinued in future AX versions while DMF/DIXF is vastly extended.

Please make clear which version you're talking about. You mentioned DIXF, which exists only in AX 2012, but you tagged your question Dynamics AX (current version) and not Dynamics AX 2012. I'll assume that the tag is wrong.

To make it clear, AX 7 doesn't have document services, because data entities can be directly exposed as OData services. Other integration techniques, such as custom services, are still in place. Data Entities replace DIXF too, but I agree with Fredrik that these two concepts are very similar and therefore it makes sense to build your solution on DIXF.

Note that AX 7 is not a future version, it's already here.

    Thanks Fredrik & Martin,

Sorry the tag is wrong, i'm in AX 2012 CU 9. So the concept with DIXF is that :

    1. I batch grouped the processing group,

    2. With source type ODBC? Or am i wrong?

I'm sorry, but I don't know which product from Oracle you're talking about and what integration options it offers, therefore I can't tell you which format is the best choice.

    Here's what they're using :

Oracle EBS with Database version 9.2.0.3.0

Export to CSV and import that to Oracle EBS with what ever tool they have for import.

I believe ODBC is not supported with Oracle (thou I might be horribly wrong on that)...

Fredrik, is there any shortage if i'm using csv? Because the the data is quite big.
