BPF Triggered Workflow Not Stopping Advancement To Next Stage

I have setup a new BPF for Opportunity. I have attached a triggered workflow to one of the stages. When the stage exits the workflow triggers and the worklow stops with a status of cancelled. However the BPF still proceeds to the next stage with popping up the erorr screen.

What am I missing?

    Hi Jon F,

Have you converted the workflow to real time? I tested it on my side and the BPF wouldn't  move to the next stage.

You can refer to this thread: community.dynamics.com/.../preventing-bpf-to-move-to-next-stage-without-satisfying-the-condition-on-the-first-stage

If you did this, please provide more detail about your workflow and BPF.
