Hi
I am attempting to reprint a customer statement in a previous month after the aging process and the statement have been executed and printed in the present month but I am having some problems to do so.
The issue is, when I reprint the statement, the statement date is showing 5/31/2020 and the the balances that appeared on the report is as of that month. What I want to achieve is to have the customer statement print for April 2020 with the statement date showing 4/30/2020.
I changed the business date to reflect the end of April and I run the aging process and close the statement again but the statement date did not change and the balances are showing invoices in May month. Is it that one cannot reprint a customer statement in a previous month after aging and closing a statement?
I may be missing something so could anyone point me in the right direction on how to resolve this issue? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks, I will look at customizing the report and see if that can help.
Thanks again
Essentially, yes. Because the Close Statement Cycle process rebuilds the data based on the open AR documents at the time it is run.
HI Mark
Thanks for your response.
So in summary, are you saying that reprinting customer statements for previous periods after the aging and closing process were executed for the current period is not possible, without customizing your Customer Period Trial Balance?
Regards
Once you run the Close Statement Cycle process, you will lose previous statement details and balances. That is because the process rebuilds the statement document and balances as of the date it is run.
What I have done at some sites is to use the Customer Period Trial Balance logic to create a custom AR Statement format that can be run at any time using the desired Period and Date logic.
