An exception 'Rate base detail could not be found' in 'Rate route workbench'

Hi all

I'm leaning R3 feature TMS with demo data and using company JPMF.

When I serach carriers in 'Rate route workbench' ,  then an exception error  occured and ID was 'Rate0009',notes was  'Rate base detail could not be found' in Exceptions tab.

I checked  Setup > Rating > Rate master and Break master,the values were set up as same as company USMF. 

If there is a difference ,JPMF's Break master's currency is JPY and USMF's is USD.

Is this probably related to this error?

    Hi MM,

    We had the same issue when confirming a Sales order shipment,

    The user accidentaly added a shipping carier to the load on the load planning workbench without a rate,

    Removing the shipping carrier solved our problem,

    The main cause of the error is, you might be specified the drop up pincode from and drop up pincode to as different once once if you specify the same then this error won't be pop-up

    Hi,

    The exception "rate base detail could not be found" is a generic message and there could me multiple reasons for you getting this in rate route workbench.

    This primarily is highlighting that the rates for the shipment could not be fetched as the shipping carrier used to rate the shipment lacks rates information from ship to drop location.

    There can be this issue if any of the zip codes of the ship or drop locations are not part of the rate master and rate base. Also if you are using P2P setup along with rate engine P2P volume based then it so happens that the weight and volume of the shipment is above or below the range of the weight and volume in rate master and Dynamics is not able find rates for the weight range.

    Same logic applies for other engines if used on shipping carrier. Just check the shipping and drop address and make sure all the information is present in the rate master and the shipment weight and volumes are covered in the break master ad then try doing rate shop again.
