Ability to view the records in the entire Organization irrespective of BU

Hi,

For example : I have two business units US and  EMEA. We have a custom entity which we want all the users to have the ability to read this records. As per our security model, US can view their own owned records and EMEA can view their specific records.

Is there any alternate solution without effecting the existing functionality where I can display all the records irrespective of their security model in Dynamics CRM (In kind of reports which they can run from CRM or any other functionality)

    you just need to give the read privilege to your custom entity at "Organization" level, they will be able to read all the records

    Hi Guido,

    If I give the read permission to Organization level then they are able to read only in that particular BU. In my ex : they are able to read all the records under the US business Unit

    no, with "organization" they will be able to read all the records, if you want to limit a user to see only the records of his BU you need to select "Business Unit" or "Parent: Child Business Units"

    Thanks Guido, I am able to do that now. Looks like it was refresh problem earlier.
