i just update version envi from 10.0.35 to 10.0.37.
i wanna reset distribusion from Purchase Order on the menu as shown below, and it returns an error message like /Budget control is enabled, accounting distributions cannot be reset when budget control is enabled/ I never got this error message in version 10.0.35. is it because of the version update to 10.0.37? how do I solve this problem without turning off budget control (budgeting >setup > budget control > budget control configuration > activate budget control) because in the previous version it was able to run with budget control active? any advise?
Budget control is enabled, accounting distributions cannot be reset when budget control is enabled
Hi, The error does indicate that it is caused by enabling budget control. But I don't think it has much to do with the version. If you don't want disabling Budget Control to resolve the issue, then I recommend opening a ticket with Microsoft to ask for the specific reason. And I also checked it for you in the test environment. When I enable budget control, this function cannot be used (my version is 10.0.38) Best Regards, Hana
I tried to do it on version 10.0.35 in envi dev it can run and there is no error but after I tried it on version 10.0.37 it became an error even though there was no additional coding or custom from internal development.
I suspect there are setup that need to be done but I don't know where in the system.
Here's how the error looks when doing 'Purchase order distribution reset'.
Budget control is enabled, accounting distributions cannot be reset when budget control is enabled
Hi, This feature has been mentioned since version 10.0.11 and stated: If budgeting is enabled for the company, this feature cannot be used. It also mentions that this may be allowed in a future version. I also checked the documentation for feature changes in versions 10.0.35 and 10.0.37, and there is no mention that this feature can be used with budget control enabled. So this seems to be version independent. Resolve PO distribution errors in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog Best Regards, Hana
