Bit of an odd one this. One of our trainers asked if it would be possible to put a shortcut to a specific instance of AX (in this case, our TRAIN environment - AX2012 R2) into a Powerpoint document. I did a bit of digging around and came up with the solution of including the details from the shortcut we deploy to our Start Menu:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Client\Bin\Ax32.exe" "\\rand.network\netlogon\Apps\DAX\RAND_TRAIN_CLIENT.axc"
But then the user came back and asked if it's possible to insert a link which opens a specific module, e.g. Accounts Payable, General Ledger, etc., etc.
I've done a bit of trawling on the Internet but can't find anything. I was wondering if the path shown in the address bar of AX may have anything to do with it, but can't figure out how or what I would need to do with it.
Any help will be gratefully accepted. if it's not possible that is also not necessarily bad news ;-)
Cheers
Dan
