Dear all, I hope you can provide us some help.

We are trying to access AX R3 client  but we get the message below.

Any ideas on fixing this problem would be welcome.

Thank you in advance,

Regards,

PVP

To echo Martin, it would seem there was a installation error.  You'll get this error for example if multiple personnel performed the installation and the client configurations set differently in the registry.  Or someone moved the files which I've seen happen before.  The installation of the setup files is where the initial directory is assigned.

What that error message means specifically is that the client isn't referencing a valid installation of AX.

The easiest way to check is to look at the target set on the AX client on the public desktop and make sure it's set to the client bin directory.  If it is not, it can be as easy as changing the target path to the proper directory.

Image is not available here but open your client configuration in notepad and make sure it has correct location of directory. That should match with your installed AX client directory.

Unfortunately there is no image showing the error, but the title suggests that your environment isn't installed correctly.

By the way, I've changed the version tag to AX 2012, because that's what you most likely meant. There isn't any R3 version of AX 7.
