Sharepoint-throttling limit and Dataverse capacity challenges

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to get some insights on how others have tackled a couple of challenges we're facing:

  1. Throttling-limit issues in SharePoint when accessed from Dynamics 365: How have you managed these problems? Are you using multiple default libraries and site libraries that can be selected from CRM, or is there another best practice you recommend? The Customer is using the standard integration between Sharepoint and Dynamics in this case and has used the same libary-link since 2016.

  2. Dataverse capacity for attachments: How do you handle this to keep data volume low while maintaining good data quality? Any tips or strategies you could share would be greatly appreciated. My customer has alot of duplicates attachements in emails. Buy more capacity is not a desired option, so a better way to clean up and maintain control is desired.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi,
    1.Throttling-limit issues
    2.Dataverse capacity for attachments:
You can use bulk deletion feature:

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it answer your question! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Thanks for the response Leah.

    1. I'm avare of the limit, so I'm searching for best practice in how to maintain this in a controlled matter. My options that I have identified:
    - Create a new site in Sharepoint and connect to the new site. We would then get som issues with exiting projects and cases, but for all new records this would be a good solution
    - Set up an automated archiving process so that we always keep the Sharepoint site below 5000 items limit. With this option we have the risk of moving "active" documents in lagre projects.

    2. I would like to maintain the email activity and only move and delete the attachements. The activity in it self is not the capacity-problem.
