How to Upload Sales Forcast using Excel Add-in or DMF

Dear

I need to upload the Sales forecast through Excel Add-in in Dynamics AX 2012 ,

i need to upload on ForcastSales  and InventDim (since i need the inventory dimensions) as well

i tried to use excel add-in but i am not sure it will work 

Would it work on DMF ?

    I see no reason why DMF wouldn't work, but there is no entity provided for importing a Sales Forecast. This means you would have to create your own. The tables you need to populate are ForecastSales and ForecastInvent.

    Create a forecast line manually and verify how these two tables are affected, then attempt to replicate that behaviour using your chosen upload method.

    As per my understanding DMF will be the best option for Sale forecast upload

    as Terry as we don't have standard DMF entity for Sales Forecast.

    but DMF is very rich framework and it provides option to create entity with minimal effort

    only you need to find out the main tables which will get populated.

    then run the custom entity wizard and system will create the required all the required application object

    then you need to create a entry in Target entity form using new objects

    then create the processing group and upload the data.
