Label ID showing instead of Label text

ReportReport
Posted on by 1,260

Hi,

I had created couple of labels for ssrs report in test environment and the report worked fine. Later I wanted to deploy the report with the labels in the Live environment. Now when I run the report it shows label ID instead of text.

I had followed couple of documents but still no success.

Steps I already followed:

1. To make sure if the labels are generated in the Live environment - checked.

2. Restart reporting service and generate full compile - done.

3. Delete the cache and restart AOS - done.

4. Clear cache from tools > cache and re-deploy the ssrs report - done.

I am getting no errors - but when I generate the report I am getting label ID's instead.

Please help

You have a problem only with your new labels, right?

First of all, have you deployed the label file to Live? If not, do it now. If you did, check if you new labels are in the modelstore database. Next steps depends on what you find.

    Yes Martin,

I have deployed it and I can see my labels in the modelstore database as well.

In that case, find the label file (.ald) in the application folder and look into it. If you don't see your labels there, although they're in modelstore, stop the AOS, delete the .ald file (and the related .ali file) and start the AOS again. AX should generated the file based on information in modelstore.

Of course, I assume that you're working with the same language in all cases (including dialects, e.g. en-us vs. en-in).
