Good morning,
We had a power outage while posting a payment on a WEBORDER, and then transferred it to an invoice, but it keeps saying cash distribution is out of balance and invoice will not post. I cannot delete the weborder because it has been transferred and I cannot delete the invoice. Not sure how to get batch to go away. I am unable to delete the batch either.
Good day,
Monica did you get through with this issue?
I have had to use check links to recover documents that during posting or exporting the system may hang. The check links in most instances has allowed me to get back in the batch and fix the document.
As I mentioned earlier it is a dedicated procedure where all users have to be logged out of the system and should be done after a backup.
Regards
Rosemary
I've had success following the options in this post on a few occasions. I've used the second option a few times in similar situations, changing the batch status in the tables. Always take a back up before making any SQL changes. www.encorebusiness.com/.../
Whenever I have issues posting a batch as a first step I always print the edit list from the batch window. It performs some cleanup if necessary and will also show you possible issues with the transactions in the batch.
Also, if you have not modified the distributions I would go in there, screenshot what is show, click Default to default the distributions, review/compare and see if that resolves anything.
My apologies, check links is a dedicated procedure all users need to be logged off GP, also it is recommended to do it after a backup.

Trying this now.....
Where is check links?
Good day,
When a payment is entered the amount received will remain the same, when the payment is inserted the value below the payment number should be zero. That's why you will get the first message. Which is also why you will get the distribution error.
Did you run a check links to re-create whatever links that might have been interrupted by the power outage?
Regards
Rosemary
