Hi Experts,

I'm adding new field in PR Line. I need the line show up automatically when I'm creating PO based on PR I'm creating. I've tried adding display, but if I'm using any display method the field can't be update at all.

I also have tried adding new data source in PurchTable. I'm adding table PurchReqLine to form PurchTable then add field Description to the form but nothing display.

Below is Description field from Purchase Requisition form

Does anybody have another suggestion, so I can add the Description field from PR to PO and the field can be edited by the user ??

You guys help mean a lot to me..

Sincerely,

Enggar

    Hi Enggar,

You are trying to link a PR field on the PO form. Why should the field be editable on the PO? Wouldn't it be better to use the Description field of the PO line itself? Otherwise explain why this would be required.

    Hi Andre Arnaud de Calavon

    Thanks for your reply.

My client finally agreed on me using the display method for their description field.

But is there any way of how to add field from PR to PO ?
I guess there is class that contain fields that will be release from PR to PO

    Thanks and Regards,

    Enggar

    Hi Enggar,

The PO and PR are very different entities. You can have PO's without a PR. I still don't understand the requirement to be able to suggest anything valuable.

Is this description a custom column?

There is a column 'PurchReqLineRefId' in purchLine, you can use that in you display method to get the description of that record. But if you are directly creating PO, that column will be blank.

    For future reference
Review the class "PurchAutoCreate_PurchReq" it has a method called "createPurchLine".
