when doing purchase request in requisition management,when you click new request i get an error below:-
"You are not set up in the approval hierarchy.if you continue,you will be able to save but not submit the purchase request.Continue?"
have you by any chance encountered it.

you are mentioning that the IP Address/BP is working fine. then it should prompt for credentials, make sure the supplied credentials security access must match with windows security access. since while launching Machinename/BP it recognize the default windows login.
in case of remote BP machine,
please make sure the remote BP machine name and ip address are entered\configured in your machine's host file to solve DNS issue.

thats already assigned.this error comes when one use server name to browse portal but when one use IP address the error disappears and one can make a new request.The other browsers still show no error at that stage.

make sure you are assigned BP Requisition Approver under SharePoint group and Requisition Approver under MBF role.
