Hi everyone,

I´m running the year end close process, but I received this message: "Total of the reporting currency transactions in the year is not 0.00 Total is 2,858.98".
I have found in trial balance that, when I add all amounts that are in the lines in the rows Opening/Ending balance - Reporting currency the amount is 2,858.98, then I suppose if a I fix this then I can finish the year end close.  The question is, Has anyone had experience with this problem?...  for year end close of 2018 I had the same message and I "fixed it" opening the rounding parameters, but I would prefer a final solution.

I would really appreciate your comments.

    Run the consistency checker as the error message recommends:
    • System administration>Periodic check>database / Consistency check
    • check General ledger \ ledger transactions
    • from date: [start date of fiscal year]
    • Check/fix = check
    If nothing is detected from the consistency checker, and no setup or data issues are identified:
    • In General ledger parameters for Year end close, check the value of the parameter 'Delete close-of-year transactions during transfer'.
    • If the value is set to 'No', set the value to 'Yes'
    • Attempt to run the Year end close again. Note - this will remove all the opening and closing transactions for the fiscal year as part of the processing before the new transactions are generated.

    Also, check the below:
    • Main account types are not configured properly for 'Balance sheet' or 'Profit and loss'

    Hi Kenneth,

    Which D365FO version do you operate? Are you on the very latest one?

    If this is not the case then have a look at the hotfixes available on LCS; there seem to be a number of related issues reported for which hotfixes have been released.

    In case you cannot find something relevant there, open a support request with MS.

    That is probably the fastest way to go forward.
