user email not saving to sysuserinfo

I'm running into an unusual error and could use some assistance.

I add an email address to a user's profile and apply the changes. It appears as though it has saved, yet if I close AX, the next time I open it, I find that the email field of the user is blank again. 

I discovered the problem when trying to setup outlook integration. I get the following error, The Microsoft Outlook profile e-mail address user@company.com is different from the employee e-mail address . 

An AX blog user mentioned the same problem, but it turned out that the user email (not employee email) did not match. 

In my case the employee email address does match, but the user email address does not seem to save.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Can you please change Microsoft outlook mapping direction of e-mail 1 address to None (Organization administration ->Setup ->Microsoft Outlook synchronization) and check...?

    I changed the mapping to none. Added the email address to the user. Exited AX and then reopened AX. It appeared as though the email address saved, but when I tried to run the outlook setup wizard again, it still generated the same error, and when I checked back the user email address field was empty again.

    Hi,

    This seems to be odd. Can you provide the exact steps and menu paths? On the user options form the e-mail address should be saved.

    Here are the steps I am taking...

    System administration > Common > Users > Users

    Select User > Edit > Options > General

    E-mail: user@company.com (selected from drop down)

    Apply

    Close form.

    At this point it appears to have saved.

    Exit AX.

    Open AX.

    Home > Setup > Microsoft Outlook or Exchange Server setup wizard

    Wizard > Next (worker info is correct) > Choose Profile (select user) > Ok.

    Error:

    "The Microsoft Outlook profile e-mail address user@company.com is different from the employee e-mail address."

    System administration > Common > Users > Users

    Select User > Edit > Options > General

    The E-mail field is now blank again.

    Hi,

    I cannot reproduce this error. Can you confirm if user@company.com is the correct mail address also used in Outlook? The drop down shows email addresses linked to the worker, but you can type the mail address without using the lookup.

    I have the very same problem and I have not found a solution. My email address keeps 'disappearing' from the user info email address screen and systemUserinfo table.

    Same problem, Contoso System and AX 2012 R3. Email disappears from SysUserInfo table every time when I run the wizard on Home > Setup > Microsoft Outlook or Exchange Server setup wizard.

    I tried removing the email address on the related Worker and entering my email manually in File > Tools > Options.

    Didn't work.

    Hi Andre

    I am not sure whether there is any solution to this issue.  I am having similar problem that the email address is not saving in sys user info table upon entering against userid \options in Sys Admn Module.  We are using AX2012 R3.  My email profile in Outlook is the same as on the employee record.  I have entered the email address in the contact fast tab under HR\employees.
