Export & Import Accounts from a View

Posted on by 240

Hi,

I have a view "All Account" that I have exported in a Dynamic Worksheet.

If I, for example, remove row 5-10 and insert new Account names, and import it, what will happen, will it fail? are the rows somehow related to guid?

Will it overwrite the Accounts that are in row 5-10?

Is it possible to get data back as it was before the import?

Thank you,

If you have not removed the GUID in columns A to C, yes your accounts will be overwritten.

A better way would be to open in excel online and add your new rows towards the end or

Export the template in excel for import.

The rows are 100% related to the guid. Columns A-C should be hidden and the guid will be in column A. If you back up the system you should be able to restore after the import.
