Hi All

A SQL server error occurred {1}{0} - Error message is appearing when adding a product to an opportunity.

It does not stop the process of adding the product.

Is there anything I can do to stop the message.

Thanks :)

    Hi,

Do you have any plugins on the opportunity or opportunity product records? Also, are you seeing this message as a Business Process Error or when a workflow runs or something?

    Thanks,

     Aiden

    Bump!

This is occurring when the product name is longer than 100 characters. We need to expand this!

Any ideas how easy this is?

Search for the word "length" here: technet.microsoft.com/.../dn531187.aspx

    Hi Tom,

You can increase the name field by going to the customizations, clicking on the fields, finding the Product Name field and clicking into that. There will be a field for Maximum Length. If the field is indexed, you may only be able to increase it to 125. I'd suggest shortening some of your product names and offloading some of the extra stuff in the name to a description field.

Hope this helps! I'd appreciate if you'd mark this as Answering your question.

    Thanks,

     Aiden
