Linking an entity - 2 entities away

Posted on by 45

In my business every opportunity entry has an account and contact.

It also has a supplier field which is another lookup field to the account entity.

The supplier contact is under a primary contact field within the account.

Is there a way to reference the supplier contact field within the opportunity ie show the email address, not just the name of the supplier contact without adding another  field to the opportunity entity?

Thanks!

    Hi Craig,

"The supplier contact is under a primary contact field within the account."

Does it mean that #1 the 'supplier contact' and the 'primary contact' are both in the Account form (position), or #2 is the 'supplier contact' a field of the 'primary contact' (relationship)?

In case of #1, we can use Quick View Form to show supplier contact field within the opportunity without adding another field.

    Please refer to these blogs.
