Hello,
I'm trying to utilise the BYOD and export a number of entities to a SQL DB to be used in our data warehouse. We have over 30 entities that we are looking to export and having to setup a batch job for each is very time consuming and causing some issues when jobs over run each other.
I noticed that there is an export "across all companies option" which looks similar to the feature in FO. I've ticked the box for the entities I require, but when the job runs it completes instantly, but the data management job stays in a not run status.
I'm triggering the jobs manually at the moment to try and complete my testing. I can't find to much about this feature on the web and struggling to get it working.
Any advice that could be provided would be amazing.
Thank You
Leigh
Hi Parag
So finally got to the bottom of the issue.
The entities only had maximum of a couple of thousand rows of data so nothing large, and for an individual entity it usually takes about 30 seconds to export.
I tried the good old start again method and dropped all my entities and re-published them, and then turned on the export across all companies and finally got ticks across the board and everything exporting correctly.
I have a call with the MS product team later so going to raise the issues I've hit and how I overcome the issues to see if they can explain why they got stuck rather than reporting errors.
Hi Leigh,
If there is a lot of data then It will take some time. Please wait until it executes successfully.
Hello Parag,
I managed to find that I had not turned on the Export Across All Companies option in the BYOD setup. This is now working as expected and pushing all entities our for all legal entities off one batch job.
The issue I am now seeing is that it is stuck in an executing status for certain entities.
Hi Leigh_BI
If I understood correctly, You have to export 30 entities to BYOD for all companies. If that is the case then You can create a recurrency batch job for Export data to BYOD. This will minimize to run the job manually.
Did you check the batch job status whether is it running the state ?
Let me know if this helps.
