Hi:

Is it possible to grant users access to the "Table Information" window, within Business Central?

Also, is it possible to export data from "Table Information"?

Thanks!

John

yes it is possible. I suggest you read about autorisations and security for the users access to the "Table Information" window.

You could export data in a multiple ways. Either by simply exporting to excel directly on the page. Otherwise you could create a pack with Pack config or a web services.

    Cheers

You can use the following three objects to set permissions for Table Information page.

For export, it is most convenient to use Open In Excel.

@Zhu:  Thanks!  But, on your final screenshot, I'm referring to exporting to Excel after you drill down into the table.  :)  John

    Hi, got it.

Drilling down the table directly on this page is actually the same as running the table directly in the browser.

More details: View a table object directly from the client

You must have tested that in this mode, it is impossible to export all the data.

The solution is to use Configuration Package. Because you already have the company name and the ID of the table in Table Information, although it is a bit troublesome, this is a possible method.
