Roll up fields not refreshing

Hi,

We have a roll up field created on opportunity which gets the sum of total amount of all its quotes which are in Draft/Active/Won status. For some reason this field is not refreshing for few opportunities. When I open the quote and either add a new line item or change the quantity of the product such that the total amount gets refreshed, then the value gets updated on the opportunity. But otherwise, the values are not getting refreshed even if click on refresh option available in the roll up field.

Any idea what is causing this? Could it be that quote record is locked by some workflow? If yes, how do i identify these records?

Hi partner,

You could check if Mass Calculate Rollup Field job and Calculate Rollup Field job are Paused.

Sorry, our analysis was wrong. The values are all refreshed. But the calculation is wrong. We are calculating Sum(Total Amount) of all quotes which are in Draft/Active/Won status for an Opportunity. But whenever the exchange rate is updated, this value is getting refreshed.

Lets say the exchange rate value was 0.5 when the quote was in draft status and when quote was made active the exchange rate was 0.7, in this case the roll up field value is getting updated. No idea why because we are using Total Amount field and not Total Amount Base. Looks like there is a bug the way these fields are calculated.

Hi partner,

My test results are consistent with yours.

This is the original value.

Then I change the exchange rate and activate the quote, the rollup field update but the base rollup field does not update.

This does not match the actual business logic.

I searched some similar threads and it seems that the rollup should always be performed in the base currency and then converted to the currency on the parent record.

Hi

If you created the field to calculate the Amounts on Opportunity

then make sure inside the field formula to check if the Quotes Amount field contains data
