New Restore of Nav DB help

Posted on by 5,124

Hello Experts,

I just restored a new copy of our NAV db into my development environment.  But I can't remember how to refresh the user related info so I can log into my local Nav DB without any problems.

I followed below links from Saurav Dhyani:

https://saurav-nav.blogspot.com/2012/12/you-are-not-authorized-to-sign-in.html

https://saurav-nav.blogspot.in/2013/02/error-after-restore-sql-backup-of-nav.html

After doing above, I was able to log in to NAV Client without any problems.  However, whenever I try to add my own userID from my local domain and assign me as SUPER in the permission tab, I keep getting an error that I have to permission to view Page User Card. Huh?  Did I miss a step?

For now, I just deleted all entries from user table, access control and user meta data.  But I remember I did something a few years back that enabled me to add my own local user id and everything worked as a charm.

Please advise if I miss a step.  I want to be able to assign my local user account as a user.

Thank you in advance.

Once you open NAV, you need to add the currently logged in User before you could add anyother.

Please check the user name on the bottom of the home page, you may find the user.  You need to add that user first.
