    Hi Paras,

If you are using AX 12, You can retrieve information from Lend functionality where you already capture lend date, lend to and other details where you can track from when and how long you lend this asset.

    Hi Paras mehan,

Are you operating in a kind of leasing / rental environment where specific people (customers?) can make use of your fixed assets?

Can you provide a concrete example that describes your business process for your fixed assets?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Paras mehan,

The lending feature that Nagendra Varma K mentioned is a good choice for those company internal lendings. However, if you want to do a little bit more, then you might have to extend this functionality. As an example, if you want to allocate the depreciations to the cost centers of the employees who borrowed the laptops, an adjustment is required.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Paras mehan,

If you only want to track who currently has the laptop, then no modification is required.

The issue with the lending form is that it only holds some basic values but does not influence your fixed asset postings, such as for example the depreciation postings I mentioned. If you want to allocate your depreciations based on the persons (cost Centers) who borrowed the Laptops, then a modification is required.

    Hope this clarifies things.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi sir ,

    Hi Paras mehan,

This is something that the standard does not fully support because there is no fixed asset => project module integration.

A possible workaround is entering the financial dimension and a project location in the fixed asset lending form. A project manager that works in the project module only does, however, not see this information.

If this workaround is not sufficient for you, then you need to make a system modification.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
