We have a requirement to use mobile scanner device for stock receipt (PO) and stock counting in retail stores where D365 is deployed for managing store inventory. We are evaluating the option to use Dynamics warehousing app on handheld scanners. The disadvantage with this approach is that we will have to mandatorily enable the stores/warehouses and products for ‘warehouse management process’ without which the app will not work. By enabling the warehouses and products for ‘warehouse management process’, we add a lot of unwanted elements into the process. E.g. dimensions like location, LP, inventory status, additional inbound steps like pick and put, configurations related to creating work etc. Curious to know if there is any way to use the Dynamics warehousing app from Microsoft on scanners and still operate without the complexities mentioned above.
