I am opening the customized element in D365FO in the code upgraded solution where I am finding the following error "Error reading metadata. Verify that metadata xml files are accessible and are in a consistent state. Metadata element names must be the same as the file names." as shown in the attached screenshot.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Muhammad Bilal,

What did you try: rename or delete and create new class?

    Hi Sergei,

I tried this one but the issue is not solved, now I am moving all the XML files to my module after renaming and setting their references since the elements are present in the customized module of Application Suite.

    Hi Muhammad Bilal,

Unfortunately, the filename is not visible. If it's not the same as the class name, try to rename it and restart VS.

Also you can copy file content somewhere to notepad and delete a class from VS project and create a new one with the correct name and copy the main method code from notepad.

The name is okay I think but the problem is with the path may be, please look at the screenshot.

    Hi Muhammad Bilal,

Did you rename the class? Looks like a class name in XML and XML filename are not the same?

Open XML file directly in notepad and check if class name is correct here. It can be found in K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory\MyModel\MyModel\AxClass folder
