Checkbook Inquiry for 2018

Why did Microsoft change the behavior of the Checkbook Inquiry window? The window now loads all transactions for a checkbook. This behavior does not make sense. This can take 5 min to load the window. Our users preferred to make selections after loading the checkbook id. We do understand now we need to load the selection then pick the checkbook, however that is out of order in the window. If users should make the selection first then it should have been reordered on the window to promote that behavior.

Is there any discussion to reverse what has been done?

This window functions the same in GP 2015 and loads all transactions, so this isn't anything new to GP 2018. Unless, you have a crazy number of transactions, this window should not take 5 minutes to load. I would refer to the following Forum which was posted just last week on this same issue.

They actually found out that their connection was causing the slowness and it was way quicker directly on the server.

At this time there are not plans to change the order of the window, but you can always enter a Product Suggestion.

If it is that big of a deal to the user you could also alter the stored procedure to not pull results unless a filter is selected, but that would not be something that we could support.
