Select filtered data in Dynamics 365 Sales

Posted on by 448

Hi all

In my opportunities (Summary), I have a field in lookup with a custom table (Scopes); when the choices are listed in another tab, I want only the rows with the same scope to be listed.

How can I do it?

thanks for any help or suggestion

    Hi Abdul Wahab

    thanks for reply.

I've done this and it is working for summury tab.

I've another tabel with a lot of username associated with 1 or more scope (saved in the previous table). I think that the point 2 is the best for my lookup field, but I've not idea how to.

What I'm searching to do is another tab in opportunity (1st picture), where I select the usersname associated to field in summury (2nd picture) ... the list where I can select must contain only the people that is associated to the field in summury ... hope to be clear (because my english is not so good).

    Hi DiePic,

The below links will be going to help you in resolving your problem:

    1. addCustomFilter (Client API reference) in model-driven apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn
    2. (+) Using addCustomFilter() to filter lookups in dynamics 365 - Dynamics 365 General Forum Community Forum
    3. Solved: Filter lookup field using addCustomFilter control ... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

    My suggestion:

    1. I suggest you convert the choice column into the table.
    2. Create a 1:N relationship between the choice table and to Scope table.
    3. Configure records
    4. Replace the choice column with the lookup choice
    5. and filter with low code and no code optionspastedimage1669835221918v1.png
