Hi,
Can someone please explain what is "extended data type" with example. Its concept is not very clear to me

Hi Arshad,
We create an EDT based on data type. For example : string.
We mentioned string size on EDT based on requirement.
In table field we mentioned EDT then it will automatically take the string size based on EDT which you mentioned.
If you create a new EDT or standard EDT you can reuse in whole application based on requirement..

Extended data types are useful to create relations, lookups and for reusability of datatype properties like label, helptext,stringsize and so on.
