i have a situation where in when i open the form it should display all the records in the table. i have specified that table as the datasource on the form and even in the design patter i have specified it but it still opens to blank.

Use the grid control to visualize the data. Make sure that it's bound to the datasource and that it contains at least one field.

i have included a grid control and attached the appropriate data source to it, and yet there are no records getting displayed.

We can't find your bug without more information from you; there are many things that may be wrong and we can't easily guess which one is to blame in your case.

Please tell us what exactly you did or didn't implement (for instance, you forgot to mention whether you've added any fields) and what exactly happens if you run the form (there is no grid, there is a grid with columns but no rows or so) - a picture would do the best. Then tell us how you test it; maybe your assumption that the table has data in the given company is wrong.

hi, apologies for not providing much information.

previously i had applied a filter on the grid using this link.

How to: Add Filter Controls to a Simple List Form [AX 2012]

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh745335.aspx

but i had to make certain changes so i had reverted all the changes i had made while creating this filter. so now basically i have commented all the code which was required for that filter expecting that it would display but still there are no records in form when i open it. on checking the table browser all the records are created and present there.
