What security role needs updated so that users with the salesperson role can update contact first and last name. Is it possible to have it so they can update the name but not be able to delete the contact.

It is set to that. When one of my sales reps who have this role assigned to them the first and last name field Is not there. They can edit email and such but not the first and last name.

Go to admin.powerplatform.com
Open the environment
from the RHS select (see all) under security roles . It will open a list of security role. Search for salesperson role and make following changes:
On Contact table change the access level of create, read and write privileges to "Organisation" and "none" for delete privilege.
