Rework Production Order

Hi all 

I m searching information about Rework Production Order . After we finish our production  what should I do if a rework is required? Can I open a new production order from the same item or what ? 

Can you please give me a short summary about rework production ?

    It really depends. Is the production order ended? If it is not then you can "rework" within the original adding further consumption and labour. A question here could be about identification with the same reference going through there is no real indication that this is a re-work order. This will inflate the cost or create greater variances.

    If it is ended, or indeed you want separation, then you create a new order. You can identify it with a different pool or group. You will need to edit the BOM to consume itself, and then add any parts or labour requirements.

    This also impacts on how you report labour or material, it also impacts on elements like product identification.
