Does AX keep a customer's credit hold history?

Hi everyone.

Long time listener, first time caller.

I have had a request to produce a report of customer's credit hold history, but I'm not sure if that information is stored anywhere in AX.

I think only the current credit hold status is held and no history of whether it has changed and when is retained.

Is anyone able to confirm my suspicions?

Or better still is anyone able to refute my suspicions and point me in the direction of the relevant table(s) and field(s)?

Thanks.

Ross.

    Hello Ross,

What do you mean exactly by credit hold history? The credit limit amount and how it has been changed or the collection status that can be changed in the credit and collections form?

Have you considered enabling the database log for tracking the field changes you are interested in?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I'm interested in when a customer is put on hold or a sales order is stopped due to a credit check failure, for example when an order value exceeds the customer's credit limit, or perhaps when they've exceeded their 30 days to pay an invoice.

I don't think there's any history of that, just a current status value.

I have considered db log tracking, but that wouldn't give me the historical data that my caller wants to use in order to make judgements about customer credit limits for the new year.

    Thanks.

    Ross.

There's no out of the box feature for that, so you would need to implement a customization.

    Hello Ross,

You could use for example the case functionality that you can associate with a customer and that can help you tracking such kind of changes. It has a case log and a lot of related features but it is not created automatically based on some changes that you make. So, some adjustments might be necessary to track all those things in an automated way.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
