I have email engagement enabled on my instance. When I send email manually, the emails are followed, meaning the system tracks when the emails were opened, how many times and so on which is all well and good. However, this does not work when I send emails through any automatic process; workflows, Power Automate flows or even the Send Direct Emails option. This is not a bug but the default behaviour. I need a workaround for this.
I need an automatic process which allows me to send emails which will be followed, to multiple leads, selected from a view or be they the result of a search.
Email engagement enabled but emails not being followed!
Hi,
I'm afraid that's not possible.
When sending emails to multiple leads through a flow, the email's Following field needs to be set to Yes so that the email will be followed.
However, in the next step of sending the email via the /SendEmail/ action, the /IssueSend/ field is selected to No and the execution fails. SendEmail Action (Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM) | Microsoft Learn
If Yes is selected, the email will remain in the Pending state.
