RE: Store Form Submission in Custom Entity

    Hi Partner,

Currently marketing form could be only tied to Contact or Lead entity.

It seems that your form is a custom form on external page, therefore, a workaround is that creating a HTTP Request Trigger in flow to process submitted data from custom form,

then in flow, create a new custom entity record to save data.

You could refer to following thread for details about the workaround:

    https://community.dynamics.com/365/marketing/f/dynamics-365-for-marketing-forum/385271/thank-you-email-after-every-form-submitted

If you thought it would work for you, then refer to another thread for how to prevent duplicate submission.

    https://community.dynamics.com/365/marketing/f/dynamics-365-for-marketing-forum/396395/forwarding-to-error-page-from-marketing-page-in-dynamics-365

The answers in above two threads are for marketing form, but you can just run function at submit event of the custom form.

In addition, according to 2020 wave 2 release plan, there will be an OOB feature on September to use marketing form to collect data from form submissions easily with custom entity without necessity to tie the marketing form to Contact or Lead.

    Clofly
