Configuration Migration tool

Hi Community,

Just a follow up to this question, I imported accounts from dev to production instance in the MSD 356 using configuration migration tool and all the accounts appears in the production however its showing my name as the owner of all the accounts. how do get it to import the rightful owners rather showing my name in all account?

    I don't know but, I would like you to check if the systemuserid is the same in both environments.  My guess is that it is not and that the tool which does nothing fancy simply is not finding a user under the dev guid so it drops them back to you.  My understanding is that the migration tool is for those specific instances where guids need to be preserved during the move -- supporting type entities that are lookups and/or values carried in workflows.

    To answer your question, you probably had to use a more sophisticated tool that allowed you to look up by name or some other key or let you map one systemuserid to another en route.

    ...or perhaps you forgot to include ownerid/owning user id in your export schema.
