Assigning Workspaces to Security role(s)?

Hi, is it possible to assign custom workspaces to security roles, or is it just possible to assign them to users?

Use case:
There's a custom workspace that is assigned for certain group of people. They all have security role x. New employee starts and is added as a user in D365 finance and get's assigned for security role x.  I assume the new user doesn't see the custom workspace?

If I go to Personalization -form (in System administration), I can only copy it to users. So when the new user is imported to the system, should it always be added manually to the custom workspaces? (The reason I'm asking is that we are trying to automate user creation and role assignment process)
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,
You can assign custom workspaces to security roles. When a new user is added and assigned the security role, they will not automatically have access to the custom workspace. You will need to manually add the new user to the custom workspace. Unfortunately, there is no automated process for adding users to custom workspaces at the moment.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

    Hi Migi,

I can't see the details of the response either. Not sure if or what was suggested by Kevin before. When I read your question, I do assume you have personal views as configuration and not a customization. In that case, there is no solution out of the box to publish configured workspaces. The Copy to users is the option you can use today.

You can consider creating the workspace as object in Visual Studio. Then it is part of the standard navigation, and you can manage access via security permissions instead of copying the personalization.
