Batch job for Financial Reports

Posted on by 174

Hi All,

Please help know how we can setup batch jobs for Financial Reports on F&O for forms which does not display batch job setup options (screenshot below). Also, tried to manually create a batch job from System Administration module however, cannot find the correct Class name / ClassID to enter on the Tasks form. I have read through the thread Batch Jobs for Financial Reports (Printing - Save on Sharepoint) - Dynamics 365 Finance Forum Community Forum but this isnt the answer I am looking for.

Appreciate immediate help.

Thank you,

Kind Regards,

Neeta

No, you don't require technical support. To access the report schedule, simply open the management report. On the financial reports page, you will find an action called 'Edit' at the top. Clicking on it will initiate the download of the MR application.

Thanks Magno. I have read through the link you have shared. Please correct me if I am wrong, if I understand correct, we will need technical support to integrate the Report Scheduler.

    Thanks

Magno is correct, there is no batch job that generates Financial reports as the reports are generated outside of F&O.  His suggestion to use Report scheduling is spot on.

To the best of my knowledge, running financial reports through a batch job is not currently supported.

However, I would suggest exploring the "Report Schedules" feature in the Management report. This feature allows you to automate the generation and delivery of reports on a scheduled basis. It may provide an alternative solution for generating the financial reports you need.
