Hi,I have a string control that i added to the form -- it's not related to any datasource.on the modify event handler I want to pick up the value before modification to compare it
so let's say from the lookup I choose this string: "String 1" then on modification, if I choose String2 from the drop down, then in the modified event handler I want to check if the new chosen value is the same as the old one or not
The information about the previous value isn't stored anywhere - you need to save it by yourself to be able to later compare it with the current value. If it's worth doing, of course.
Hi Martin,
Here's the case, I have 2 new string controls (not bound to a dataSource)
On modified event Handler for one of them, I say if the value changes (control.valueStr()!=null), then make the other control empty..but the the thing is that in the lookup of the control you can still click on the same value and change ur mind..and in that case there is no need to make the other control empty
