Set Marketing Assets live via console application or power shell?

Hi,

I am currently facing the issue, that we have multiple dynamics instances for testing, training and production. Our Marketing Assets (Email templates, emails, customer journeys, marketing forms and pages, content settings,...)

We are migrating them with a schema file between the instances. However, when the assets are migrated in a newer version the need to be stopped on the target environment and set back to live to have the newest state live (when I understand it correctly).

For the huge amount of assets doing this manually every time is a mess. Is there a way to trigger the action via an application for all of them or via power shell?

Thanks in advance for helping!

Best

Markus

RE: Set Marketing Assets live via console application or power shell?

Most Marketing Assets can be accessed using the Common Data Service Web APIs (docs.microsoft.com/.../overview).

For example you can use these APIs on a Customer Journey -

    docs.microsoft.com/.../basic-operations-on-customer-journey

    Similarly for Segments

    docs.microsoft.com/.../extend-segments

One thing to watch out for esp setting entities to go live is making sure all dependencies are also live for e.g. if a customer journey segments and emails then you want to make sure that all emails are segments are active/live before going live with the customer journey.

    See - docs.microsoft.com/.../marketing-entity-reference
