Not able to Sign in Assembly. key file getting saved as .pfx instead of .snk

I have created a Class library project (C# Library). But when I try to sign in DLL. it gives the below error. I tried without password protection as well.

I have stored this files in my local D Drive only.

Keys are getting created but with .pfx extension instead of .snk

I am using 4.7.2 C# framework for my project.

you don't need to put the password if you want a snk file, when you use a password you get a pfx signing and you need to know the password if you want to rebuild the signed project.
