HI,

When i try to run the report from the report services i am getting below error message:

"Cannot impersonate user for data source 'CRM'. (rsErrorImpersonatingUser)"

In CRM server i am gettting  below error message:

"Web service request SetDataSourceCredentials to report server url failed with soapexception. Error: An error has occurred during report processing."

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all, We created all the SPNs for the SSRS and SQL as well. In report manager make sure you selected

"By prompting the user viewing the report for credentials " and Type of credentials   as " select Type of Credentials: "Database user name and password". If you didnt select this option you will always end up in impersonation error.

This is version 9.0 CRM on premise, 2017 SQL server and 2017 reporting services.

RE: Dynamics 365 (9.0) on premise report error

I am not sure about v 9.0 but we faced same issue in CRM 2015, and i resolved this issue by follow these steps:

    1. Browse to Report Manager (http://SERVERB/Reports)

    2. Open the Organisation_MSCRM folder

    3. Click Show Details

    4. Open the MSCRM_DataSource

    5. Change the Data Source Type from Microsoft SQL Server to Microsoft Dynamics CRM SQL

*Note: - This option is only available once Reporting Extension has been installed on SSRS Server.

    6. Clear the contents of the Connection String box

    7. Set the Connect Using: option to Credentials Supplied by user running the report but do NOT check the Use as Windows Credentials when connecting to the DataSource option.

    8. Click Apply

    9. Restart the SQL Reporting Services Service in Reporting Services Configuration Manager.

    Hi partner,

    Please try the following points.

1.Check if the SSRS Service stopped.

2.Redeploy the reporting server and ensure that you are running as a SQL admin and running the report from the server directly.

3.Make sure the user of the server you are logging on has the right permission or the local policy of the DC allows for login of non-admin users.

4.Check if the user that was used to install the repotring has been disabled or changed the password.

    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards,

    Leo
