Hi All,

A user has been trying to upload budget into AX 2012 rtm via excel template. But we keep getting error Dimension validation.

The budget data has been reviewed and all looks okay except that in configure account structure a particular dimension code has change.

For example I have a combination of main account 10510-3050 and 10510-8040 meaning two combinations . These combination already have data in the GL in the previous quarter budget. But the new combination is now 10510-3050 and 10510-8020. With means the dimension code 8040 has been changed to 8020 in the second combination.

The current budget which we are unable to publish is having the two combination 10510-3050 and 10510-8020

10510 is main account GL, while 3050, 8020, and 8050 are dimension values for Cost Centre dimension.

Could this change be the cause of this error.

As I have checked and could not spot why the budget will not publish.

Hi Fade ,

Are you doing current year's budget based on previous year's balance?

Can you please check if CC 8020 is set as 'Suspended' in Financial dimensions form or not.

Appreciate if you kindly share below screen shot;

--- Budget excel template which you are using.

--- Error message that you are getting while uploading.

--- Account structure which is showing Main account with CC combination. Particularly for the main account for which you are getting the error.
