DOI not setting 'Allow Bulk Email'

I have set up a Contact Capture form, which is embedded on our own website (not a MSDyn Portal or Marketing Page), to capture subscription list sign ups.

The form has form-level DOI set up.

When I test the form, I get the DOI confirmation email, and then I can click on the 'confirm' button and I get taken to the thank you page.

I then check CRM and the new contact is created, and added to the subscription list. However, the 'Allow Bulk Email' field is set as 'Do Not Allow', so even though the contact is on the subscription list I can't send them any emails unless I manually change this field.

Should the form/DOI process be setting this field as 'Allow' and if so, why isn't it doing it?

As a side note, our the 'Allow Bulk Email' field is set to 'Do Not Allow' as default when creating a new contact (so that we can make sure we're not emailing people unless they've opted-in).

What am i missing in the process to set this field to 'Allow' once the user has opted-in?

I have the same question (0)

You need to have some form of "opt-in" checkbox on the form that will be linked to "Allow bulk email" field.  Default templates for eg Subscription center contain "Do not allow bulk email" field.

As you default to "Do not allow" for bulk email, this checkbox will be pre-selected and only when your end customer deselects it, the Bulk email field will change the value and he/she will start receiving newsletters from you.

Double opt-in is more related to sending confirmation emails (see details here).

Thanks for the reply. I completely forget about the bulk email field on the form!
