Changing path of PackagesLocalDirectory

Hi,

Currently in one of our DEV VM the path of PackagesLocalDirectory is K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory

This path is already used by the workspace of other user. Unfortunately we don't have communication with that user or nor TFS Admin. They belong to other dev partner.

Now I am unable to remove the workspace and got stuk. So I got one idea. I want to check with the community whether it will work.

  1. I will copy the files and folders inside PackagesLocalDirectory except hidden $tf  folder to K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectoryNew
  2. Edit the web.config inside K:\AosService\WebRoot and change the path from K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory to K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectoryNew
  3. Map the new path with my workspace
  4. Open Visual Studio, make full build

Whether my idea will work ?
