When Trying to Print, Printer Unavailable

I've had a user who when trying to print, the printer says unavailable. We then have to go into Setup and select the printer. It will print then, but Dynamics doesn't maintain that printer after closing out. Any ideas on what I should be doing to get it to save that printer setting? Thanks!

     Hi,

    I think you didn't set the default printer. just go Start -> settings -> Printer & Faxes.  Here select your printer and mark it up as Default. And then restart your Ax client and run the report.

     The problem (now) is local printers are not showing up for a handful of people.  Drivers are loaded and a week ago we did not have this issue.  Now all of a sudden, people are hitting print and none of their local printers are showing.  We are running Dynamics on Server 2008, anybody have any insight to this issue?

    Figured I'd post how we ultimately fixed the issue with a lack of local printers. On Monday, it spread to everyone so we knew then it was a server issue. I checked and the servers ram was maxed and then I noticed we only had one server instance of AX running (AXAOS2, AXAOS1 was down) thus a huge amount of strain on the server. I couldn't restart the port redirection service, so we rebooted the server (this time making sure AXAOS1 was up) and bam problem solved.
