Hello Everyone,

We have installed AX 2012 R3 successfully in the domain of our subscription. Everything's working fine. Later, we moved the same machine by using VHDs (disk file) to the other subscription. AOS server is unable to start after many attempts.

    Hi Saleem,

Check SID in SQL table, as you changed to VHD, domain name must have been changed.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ansar,

The domain name hasn't changed in my context, it's the same. I just used the VHD files to place it in the other client location with the same domain. Everything's fine bro, it's just that the AOS server is not getting started.

How to check whether the SIDs in my SQL table which are duplicate, as i am using it with the same domain for the second time. And if i remove the duplicate SID, does it reflect anything with the SQL connections internally with the AX client and how can i get back the correct SID without any loss to all the pre-work that i have done.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Saleem.

    Hi Saleem,

First of all you can check SID's in the userinfo table of DAX DB.

Secondly, check whether the Service Account of the AOS Service and also the BCP Account has permissions on DAX Datbases in SQL.

    Hi Saleem,

Well in SQL you can check in DB: Microsoft Dynamics AX>Tables>dbo.userinfo, view the data, check for Network Domain,Network Alias and SID's.

check AOS Service Account is the same as in the table as above, also check Security>user login is having required permissions

    Hi Asif,

Yes i have checked the user-info table but i don't find any appropriate SID's, my network domain and everything's fine. And also i have the highest permissions required set to it.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Saleem.

    Hi Saleem,

    You can do below things:

    1. Install database and restore Demo database on Server

2 . Point demo data to existing AOS, open Ax and close it

3.Now Go to user info table , copy the user info table data from demo database into notepad

    4. Go to Old Db restore the user info data with the one you have copied.

    5. Start Aos with Service account provided same as demo data.

Its good to go , Ax should work now.

    try and let me know

    Regards,

    Ansar Basha.S
