Searching on invalid email addresses

Hi,
I have managed to activate the email validation on the contact records (see screenshot below):

Is it possible to filter a list of contacts that have the invalid email address (red envelope icon).

Thank you

There are multiple ways using which you can archive this.

    1. You can get by using advanced find.
Make your query and then get the results.

    2. Using console where you can mention the invalid emails using regex string.

    Thank you,

Thanks for your response below Amit - can you share an example of how you would use the advanced find functionality to include the (red envelope icon) invalid email address??

    Hi Cpmt1977,

Microsoft's email validation feature is still in preview (see the article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales/enable-email-validation).

To use it with custom tables, you'll need to add a custom script to your form and a code component to the email field (explained here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales/enable-email-validation-custom-forms).

You'll need some developer help to understand how the email validation works and create similar logic to update a custom field on your table. Then, you can run this logic on all your records. After that, you can use Advanced Find to find records with invalid email addresses.

This solution sounds simple, but it will take some time to set up.

If this helped, please click "Like" and mark it as verified if it solved your problem. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Best Regards,

    Thanks for your response Daivat,

I am not using a custom table - I am using the lead and contact tables.  I have successfully set up the validation of the email record - it is working great.  I can see in the record whether the email is validated. In the examples below the email is not validated and is displaying red envelope icon:

My question is: how can I report on a list of contacts where the email address is not validated (e.g. displaying red icon) rather than go into each contact record?

    Thank you for your assistance

The only column I can see relating to this is the Email Confirmed column but this just seems to show if the email address has been validated or not so even for invalid emails it will just shows Yes as its been checked. I'm still not sure this feature is reliable as it flags my own business email address as invalid
