Task Recorder in Advanced Mode 'Run as Administrator' error

Hi all,

I'm getting a 'Please run Microsoft Dynamics AX client as an Administrator' when trying to do a recording in Advanced Mode.

For the record, I do start the application selecting the 'Run as Administrator' option from the context menu.

Running AX 2012 R3 6.3.164.0

    HI,

    Do you have the system administrator role assigned within AX? The error should refer to this AX security role if you run in  Advanced mode.

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks for replying, yes I had Sys Admin role within AX, but later discovered I was not truly a windows admin, changing this, fixed this problem. I am able to record video now, and get the XML meta data as well.

    The problem now is that when I click on the 'Build Package' button nothing happens, the batch job that is supposed to start simply doesn't.

    Any ideas?

    In advanced mode, Microsoft Dynamics AX and AOS must be installed on the same computer.

    Thanks for your reply, I recorded in the local server to a folder and then I logged in to the batch server through Remote Desktop and created a folder with the same name, copied the recordings and then I was able to build the package.
