Hello,

the Installation of the WebCLient on a Win10/SQL2014 failed with this errorlog.

When I deinstall the component there the Applicationpool and the files in the IIS are not removed.

If I remove them manualy and restart the Installation I get the same error.

Is that a known issue?

    Try to install the IIS Features using Windows Features On and Off and then restart the Computer and try to Install it again. The error could be because of the missing components for Web Client.

    Have you installed the IIS from the program and features and then uninstall and reinstall NAV ?

    Hello,

    that did not solve the problem.

    This is the erro sequence from the log:

    Hi,

    not sure if this was resolved already. Had the same issue. The error is caused by the IIS and the ASP.NET Core module. Even when installed it's not available in IIS. Try to uninstall / install the 1.0.4 / 1.0.4 & 1.1.1. / 1.0.4 / 1.1.1 version and try to reach the handler mapping via IIS on the web.config. (this is the specific area that causes this trouble due to missing mapping:<handlers>

         <add name="aspNetCore" path="*" verb="*" modules="AspNetCoreModule" resourceType="Unspecified" />

       </handlers>

       <aspNetCore processPath=".\Prod.Client.WebCoreApp.exe" arguments="" stdoutLogEnabled="false" stdoutLogFile=".\logs\stdout" forwardWindowsAuthToken="true">

         <environmentVariables>

           <environmentVariable name="ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT" value="Production" />

         </environmentVariables>

       </aspNetCore>)

    If this does not work properly try the new version 1.0.7

    Hi Dirk, I am having the same issue and yes, the logs say ASP.NET core is the problem.

    Please could you help with your instructions? I can uninstall 1.0.4 / 1.0.4 & 1.1.1. / 1.1.1, but after that, how can I install those again?

    What do you mean with "reach the handler mapping"? Is this a change in IIS web.config?

    How can I install version 1.0.7?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi again Dirk,

    I have just go to "Repair" option in those ASP.NET core installations, repair NAV Web Client installation, and it has worked!

    Many thanks.

    I've been pulling my hair out trying to get the installer for Nav 2018 to work. I'm executing it remotely and i was running into the 1603 error due to the wixcreateinternetshortuts problem. The installer runs as the user in my case it was running as LocalSystem. I had to write some powershell that intiated a remote session on the server itself using creds from a domain user that had local admin privileges. Once the session is initiated you can invoke commands that run as that user and this works here is the code snippet that i used (replace chevron values with whatever you use)

    $userPasssword = ConvertTo-SecureString "<password>" -AsPlainText -Force

    $credentials = New-Object -TypeName System.Management.Automation.PSCredential ("<DOMAIN\Username>", $userPasssword)

    $session = New-PSSession -ComputerName localhost -Credential $credentials

    Invoke-Command -ScriptBlock {& <Path to powershellscript>} -Session $session

    Remove-PSSession -Session $session

    Hello richuk_69 ,

    I am not very good in understanding with all these information you shared in your reply, could you explain me actually what rights and privileges user must have to install BC. I have given a user id and password for a system to install the application and I am getting same error message. How and where I can check my user privileges and confirms what is missing.
